Christopher S. Ryan | CFA, CEO & President
Chris founded Ryan Investments in 2001 and is responsible for creating iFolios®, an active allocation and trend-following strategy used by the firm to manage client portfolios. He splits his responsibilities between CEO and Investment Advisor, and is a member of the Investment Committee. His previous experience includes 4 years as Sr. Portfolio Manager with NationsBank Private Client Group (Dallas), 5 years as Sr. Vice President with Merrill Lynch (Boulder/Aspen), and 4 years with Ernst & Young as a Senior Valuation Analyst (Denver/Dallas).
Chris earned his B.S. in Finance and M.S. in Accounting from the University of Colorado – Boulder, and holds designations including CPA (Certified Public Accountant – Colorado) and CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst). He currently serves on the Executive Committee of Aspen Public Radio, has served on the Pitkin County Financial Advisory Board, and is a current member of the CFA Institute and the CFA Society of Colorado.
Travis Van Domelen | CFP, Manager, Portfolio Trading
Travis came to Ryan Investments in 2019 as Manager, Portfolio Trading. Travis’ primary duties include daily monitoring of portfolio positions versus the firm’s iFolios model allocations, observing market trends in relation to our proprietary trading signal, and executing trades as necessary. Travis brings two years of portfolio management experience from his position at First Western Trust Bank in Aspen.
Travis is a rare Aspen native and loves his hometown. He earned his B.S. in Finance from Montana State University and holds his CFP (Certified Financial Planner) designation. To balance out his bio, he’s a member of the Aspen ski-gang, The Freaks, which is appropriate if you’ve ever seen his big-air skiing.

Casey Livingston | Manager, Client Services
Casey Livingston joined Ryan Investments in 2019 and serves as Manager, Client Services, assisting the firm as liaison to the firm’s custodian, Charles Schwab. She is responsible for opening and maintaining portfolio accounts, reconciling and reporting, and provides support to Investment Advisors and Portfolio Managers. She has expertise in Black Diamond and Junxure. She oversees the firm’s compliance and continuously monitors SEC rules. Her previous experience includes 3 years as a Medical Editor in Philadelphia, 5 years as an MRI and Surgery Scheduler at Aspen Orthopedics, and she is a longtime freelance print editor.
Casey earned a B.A. in English from Villanova University. She serves on the board of the Basalt Education Foundation. Casey keeps busy with her young family, and she enjoys skiing, reading, fly fishing, travel, and bee keeping.

Emma de Francisco | Manager, Business Operations
Emma de Francisco joined Ryan Investments in 2022 initially as Account Manager, and has now moved into Business Operations. In this role, she oversees day-to-day operations, marketing strategies, technology implementation, and compliance, while also acting as the primary point of contact for both new and existing clients. Additionally, Emma serves as the liaison to Charles Schwab, the firm’s custodian.
Emma brings a diverse skill set to Ryan Investments, with experience in accounting, client services, and business management. She holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Murdoch University in Perth, Western Australia. Throughout her career, Emma has gained valuable experience across multiple industries in Aspen, Washington D.C., and Australia, with a strong focus on accounting and business operations.
Outside of work, Emma enjoys hiking, traveling, savoring great food, and spending quality time with her family.
